Many prescription medications deplete key nutrients. Birth control, for example, can deplete nutrients like vitamin B9, vitamin C, zinc and magnesium.

Which scares me because if a woman stops taking birth control and gets pregnant right away, she could still be depleted in nutrients (like B9) required for fetal development because of the birth control she was taking.

The side effects of common meds can also be the result of this nutrient depletion.

If you’ve ever felt anxious or moody on birth control (like I did) it might be because about 80% of women taking birth control pills experience altered tryptophan metabolism.

I was shocked when I learned over 90% of the vitamin C on the market today is NOT true vitamin C, but a synthetic form called ascorbic acid.

And that most of the time, ascorbic acid is derived from GMO corn in China and processed using volatile acids.

How do you know the difference between real vitamin C and the synthetic kind?

All you have to do is check the ingredient label on your vitamin C supplement. If it says “ascorbic acid” you’re definitely going to want to learn the important differences from the founder of the Root Cause Protocol, Morely Robbins in this podcast!

Ascorbic acid is NOT the same as vitamin C.

Confession time: I am NOT great in the kitchen.

I used to feel STUCK.

My relationships were suffering, my career wasn’t where I wanted it to be and most days I felt like I was spinning my wheels.

Thankfully, one day I came across a podcast with Mary Shores about how we create our realities with our WORDS. At first I was skeptical, but once I heard her story and read her book, I was blown away by how profoundly different life can be when we choose our words (and therefore create our realities) with INTENTION.

I used to be one of those girls who couldn’t do ANYTHING before or during her period.

Cramps.
Irritability.

I was basically out of commission for 10 solid days a month. Then, through my holistic health studies, I learned that PMS is NOT normal. My crazy period was basically my monthly “report card” telling me something wasn’t right.

I suffered from acne for over 12 years. Not just the occasional pimple either, but the kind that stole my confidence and made me want to hide out in my house.


At first it was “just something I had to deal with as a teen,” but when I got into my 20’s and 30’s and it was STILL lingering, I knew it was time to do something to get the root of my skin issues.

Acne is NOT something you just have to deal with, it’s a sign of imbalance, and now that I’ve identified and addressed my imbalances, I’m acne free! (unless I eat garlic, that is!)
